How to Use the Cost Center Feature in the Launch Mobility App

This guide details how to assign the reservation as an expense to a Cost Center within the mobile app. 

The Cost Center selection is a crucial step for correctly billing the corresponding department. (Ascend Customers Only)

You can use cost center fields in your app flows.  
Note: WRA currently does not support Cost Center. 

1. Accessing the Reservation Details

  1. Open the Launch Mobility Mobile App and tap "Start" on the introductory screen.

  2. On the Home screen, view your current reservation under "Reservation activity." If it is an ongoing reservation, it will be labeled "IN PROGRESS".

  3. Tap "SEE MORE" on the reservation card to view the full details.

2. Preparing to End the Reservation

The reservation detail screen shows information like the vehicle, license plate, connection status, charge level, and pick-up/drop-off details.

  1. Vehicle Lock (Optional): You can "LOCK" the vehicle during your reservation to secure it while still continuing to complete your reservation later.

  2. Tap "END RESERVATION" at the bottom of the screen to begin the final checkout process.


3. Vehicle Lock & Requirements Check

Before proceeding, you must confirm that the vehicle meets the required conditions for checkout.

  1. On the Vehicle Lock screen, review and ensure all checkout requirements are met:

    • The vehicle is clean; all trash is removed.

    • The vehicle is dropped off at the same place it was picked up.

    • The fuel tank is at its maximum level (or the battery charge is sufficient, depending on the vehicle type).

  2. Tap "NEXT" to proceed.


4. Selecting Your Cost Center

The Cost Center Selection is a mandatory step to assign the expense of the reservation to the correct budget.

  1. Read the introductory information regarding the purpose of the Cost Center 

  2. Use the Search bar to find your Cost Center by code or name. The search feature supports autocompletion, meaning you can find items by entering the first 3 characters 

  3. Select the appropriate Cost Center from the list 

    • Tip: If you do not know your Cost Center, you can select the "Unknown" option.

  4. Once selected, tap "NEXT" 

  5. A pop-up will ask: "If you reported any vehicle damage before your reservation started, you do not need to report it again." Select "NO" or "YES" as appropriate.

5. Reservation Complete

  1. The final screen confirms that your reservation has "successfully ended"

  2. Tap "DONE" to finish the process

    • Note: Ending the reservation automatically locks the vehicle and may charge your payment card. You will not be able to re-enter the vehicle.
