Understanding Reservation statuses
Reservation Statuses Explained
Understanding the different statuses of reservations is crucial for effectively managing vehicle usage. Below are the various statuses and what they signify:
Reserved:
- This status confirms that the vehicle is prepared and available for use at the scheduled time. The reservation has been successfully processed, and the vehicle has been designated specifically for the customer.
Rejected:
- A reservation receives this status when it cannot be created due to specific issues. This might happen if there are insufficient credits, no approved payment methods are added, or if there is an existing reservation for the vehicle that overlaps with the requested time.
Canceled:
- This status is applied when a reservation is canceled by either an administrator or the driver. Once canceled, the reservation is considered void, and the vehicle is released, making it available for other customers to book.
In Progress:
- When a reservation is actively being used and the vehicle is in operation, it is marked as “In Progress.” This means the reservation is running smoothly.
Completed:
- A reservation is marked as “Completed” when it has been finished successfully and all associated charges have been applied. The vehicle is now ready for another reservation.
Pending:
- This status is designated when a reservation concludes, yet certain charges remain outstanding. This situation may arise if there are supplementary expenses that require processing following the reservation period.
No Show:
-
A reservation is assigned this status when the vehicle remains unused during the designated time. This situation generally occurs if the customer fails to arrive to utilize the reserved vehicle.
Understanding these statuses helps ensure that the reservation process is smooth and transparent for both administrators and customers. It provides clarity on the state of each reservation, making it easier to manage and address any issues that may arise.
