NFC Card - Invers: Quick Start Guide
As a bridge between traditional key management and a fully digital experience, the NFC card provides a familiar method for accessing your vehicle. While our mobile app offers the most comprehensive control over your reservation, the NFC card is an excellent, easy-to-use option for the core functions of locking and unlocking.
Key Things to Remember:
- Reservation First: The NFC card only works with an active reservation.
- "Short Tap" (quick tap): This is used to start the reservation and to conveniently lock or unlock the vehicle throughout the trip.
- Alternative Control: If the card is not functioning properly, the primary tools for managing the reservation are the Mobile App and the WRA Portal. If those options do not resolve the issue, support can also be provided by the organization's administrator.
This guide will walk through how to use the Invers NFC card to initiate (validate), unlock, and lock the vehicle easily.

Create a Reservation
The essential first step is to create an active reservation. The NFC card will only function once a reservation is in place. You can conveniently create one through:
- The Mobile App
- The Web Reservation App (WRA) Portal
- Requesting assistance from an admin in Mission Control
Starting the Reservation (First Use)
Upon first arrival at the vehicle:
- Have the NFC card ready.
- Perform a "short Tap": Place your NFC card flat against the card reader.
- Confirm: The reader will indicate that your reservation has successfully started (e.g., with a green light or an audible signal).
Important Notes on Starting the Reservation
Unlocking & locking During the Trip within NFC CardOnce the reservation has begun, the vehicle doors can be easily locked and unlocked:
Perform a "Short Tap": Briefly place the NFC card on the reader and immediately remove it. This action will toggle the lock status of the vehicle. The card reader automatically detecting your registered NFC card.
Ending the Reservation
For vehicles equipped with Invers devices, ending a reservation with an NFC card is not currently supported. For these vehicles, reservations must be ended using one of the following methods:

By requesting assistance from an admin in Mission Control
If you need help, please contact your fleet administrator, who can end the reservation for you.
End-of-Reservation Notifications
There is an alternative method for ending reservations that involves an automated notification. This system can send a notification to both the driver and the fleet admin when a reservation can be set as "completed." This check is triggered when the following conditions are met:

The reservation is currently "In progress."

The reservation is within its "Early end" window.

The vehicle is within a 0.3-mile (500-meter) radius of the Service Group location's geofence.

The vehicle has been stationary for at least 30 minutes.
