Your Guide to Vehicle Access: Using the Igloo Keybox

Welcome to the Igloo Keybox! This feature provides a seamless, secure way to access your reserved vehicle using a unique PIN code. This is a great alternative if you prefer using our Web Reservations App (WRA) or if your vehicle does not support digital unlocking.

  • Hardware-Free Flexibility: It enhances fleet flexibility by enabling access without requiring vehicle hardware upgrades.
  • Supports Older Fleets: It is highly beneficial for organizations with older fleet vehicles that do not support NFC (Near Field Communication) unlocking.
  • Vendor Continuity: It provides a convenient solution for organizations that prefer not to change or add new vendors to their operations

How to Retrieve Your Pin and Access Your Vehicle


  1. Log In: Open and log into either the Mobile App or the Web Reservations App (WRA).
  2. Locate Your Reservation: Go to the Reservation Detail screen for your "In Progress" reservation.
  3. Request the Pin: Click the "UNLOCK" button. A window will appear displaying your unique 9-digit keybox pin and instructions for use.
  4. Unlock the Keybox: Enter the 9-digit pin into the physical keybox on the vehicle.
  5. Retrieve the Key: Take the vehicle key out of the keybox, and you are ready to hit the road!

Helpful Tips & Features


  • Check Your Messages: For your convenience, your keybox pin is automatically sent to you via SMS and email notifications.
  • Easy Access Anytime: If you forget your code, don't worry! You can click "UNLOCK" in the app to view your pin multiple times during your active reservation.
  • Extending Your Trip: If you decide to extend your reservation, the system will automatically generate a brand-new keybox pin for added security. You will immediately receive an updated notification containing this new code.
  • Note on Pin Length: Please be aware that the Igloo Keybox system automatically generates a standard 9-digit security code. To ensure proper system functionality, the length and the specific numbers of your keybox pin are fixed and cannot be customized or configured.

Troubleshooting


  • What if I lose my internet connection? Even if your app goes offline, you can still retrieve your keybox pin by checking your standard text messages or your downloaded emails.
  • What if my PIN doesn't work? First, verify the pin by checking your app, SMS, or email to ensure you are entering the correct 9-digit code. Alternatively, you can extend your reservation to generate a brand-new pin automatically.
  • Contacting Support: Please note that if you contact support staff (Mission Control), they cannot see your keybox pin for security reasons. The pin is strictly visible only to the driver.

⚠️ Important Reminder: Do not leave the physical key inside the car. Because the Igloo Keybox relies on a physical key rather than app-based digital unlocking, leaving the key inside the vehicle could result in you accidentally locking yourself out.
