Getting Started: Your Organization Setup Guide
Welcome! This guide provides a complete roadmap for setting up your organization in Mission Control. Follow these nine steps in order to take your fleet from initial configuration to being fully reservable by your users.
Each section provides a high-level overview of a key task and includes a link to the detailed "how-to" article.
Step 1: Create a Location
The first step is to define the physical "home bases" for your vehicles. Each Location represents a real-world address where your Service Groups will operate.

Step 2: Create a Fleet
A Fleet is the main container for a group of your vehicles. This crucial step connects your vehicles to the Location you just created and the Service you offer.

Step 3: Create Vehicle Types
A Vehicle Type acts as a blueprint for the vehicles in your fleet. Before adding individual cars, you must first create these templates to define shared characteristics like year, make, and model.

Step 4: Create a Vehicle
Now it's time to add your individual vehicles to the system. Here you will enter unique details like the license plate and VIN, and assign the vehicle to the appropriate Fleet.

Step 5: Make a Vehicle Active
By default, all newly created vehicles are set to an 'Inactive' status. You must make them Active before they can be assigned to a service and made available for reservations.

Step 6: Assign a Vehicle to a Service
This action makes an active vehicle eligible to be used within a specific Service (your business operation). This allows you to control which vehicles are available to each part of your organization.

Step 7: Create a Service Group
The Service Group is the "operational package" that bundles vehicles with all their rules, including their location, pricing, and when they are available for booking.

Step 8: Assign a Vehicle to a Service Group
This is the final step in vehicle configuration. By assigning a vehicle to a Service Group, it inherits all the rules from that group and officially joins the pool of assets that can be reserved.

Step 9: Manage User Access and Visibility
The final phase of setup is to control who can see and reserve your vehicles. This is done by creating User Groups and granting them access to the specific Service Groups you've built.

Setup Complete!
Congratulations on completing the setup of your organization! Your fleet is now fully configured, and your users have the appropriate access to reserve vehicles.
